BITHOOR is a centre of Hindu pilgrimage which is situated on the Kannauj Road, 27 km from Kanpur. Bithoor has been referred to as Brahmavarta in the Puranas. Brahma is also believed to have enshrined here a Shiva Lingam. In some ancient texts, Bithoor has been referred to as the Utpalaranya.

Dwarkadhish Temple located adjacent to Kamla Tower in Kanpur, Dwarkadhish Temple is fanatical to Lord Krishna. The temple is popular for the Jhoola or Swing festivals held in Shravan, a month in the North Indian Hindu Calendar which is coming in between July and August.
